|Alba Vineyard’s Chelsea Cellars is our line of hand-crafted wines made from fruit from the West coast.
Working closely with Sagemoor Vineyards, one of the most revered grape growers of the Columbia Valley in Washington state, Alba is able to obtain the finest Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes to come from that state. Sagemoor supplies fruit to the best wineries in Washington state, with bottle prices for some of those wines exceeding $100.
Throughout the growing season, constant communication with Sagemoor’s vineyard manager allows our Alba team to customize their crop to our exact specifications in terms of crop load, clonal types and date of harvest.
When the decision to harvest is made, the fruit is hand picked and chilled for 24 hours before beginning its quick, temperature-controlled journey East.
From picking the grapes to arriving at Alba’s crush pad has never been more than 72 hours, with the grapes arriving as pristine as if they came from our own Vineyard.
